Default Flowmaster super 10 too loud?

Hey I have a 2002 F150 5.4 with the stock 4 cats on it. My muffler has rusted and I'm looking to get a new muffler. I want it to be loud but not stupid loud and not attract too much attention from the police. Any advice?

With all 4 stock cats in place any muffler you pick will not be that loud I'm running no muffler on mine and have had no cop issues actually all 3 of my f150s didn't have a muffler and I never got anything but compliments

That's what I had heard but I was just wanting to hear from people who had done it. I want it loud but I also want to be reasonable

IMO, out in the open farm land it is loud, but not offensive. I like the deep throaty throb.

If you are rappin' the pipes in town where the sound can bounce off the buildings, it is too loud.

My suggestion would be remove your muffler if you don't like it or it's too loud get your flowmaster but I'll bet you won't buy it after hearing it without any muffler at all on my 3 trucks I had the exhaust set up a different way on every truck and not one sounded bad without a muffler

No way that's one of my favorite things to do drop it in first roll down the windows and hammer on it down main street

LOL ... I know ... I had the stock muffler and resonator removed and a Flowmaster (5510 I think) installed. I live in the woods, and my neighbors tell me they can hear me coming and going. Idle down the county road to the state hiway and open it up.

If I remember correctly, the 10 Series is the "race car" muffler designed for the track.

Any muffler though even if it is a "race car" muffler is still going to be quieter then no muffler I would think anyway
