Default Flag pole mounting

Hello everyone,

My old truck used to have the two holes on the sides of the bed for a rack where I used to just drop the flag poles in and then ratchet strap them in place. My 2017 doesn't have those holes. how are people mounting their flags? I don't want to do any drilling so I was thinking of making a 2x6 frame and just sliding the flag poles into the frame and then ratchet strapping the frame in place. The only thing that sucks about that is the frame will probably weigh close to 40 pounds. What are y'all doing with your flags? Excuse my poor drawing.

Thank you,
Nick

Yeah, I had a couple ideas that require drilling, but want to avoid that route.

Thanks,
Nick

I've thought about that route, but I like to run two flags and would like the ability to tow while flying the flags.

Thanks,
Nick

had this setup on my 97 and 07 F-150s worked great had flags and surf poles anything. Just had to strap em right. I think this is what you meant in your drawing. If not disregard haha

I think I watched a Utube video on cutting out the bed cap rail to access the forward bed stake holes. Maybe it was a thread here. Anyways, I captured a screen shot of the measurement diagram.
