You didn't hit the vehicle it hit you on the passenger side while you were traveling straight.

Maybe you ran a light? Either way, the vehicle hit you so imo it's a shared responsibility.

Could you replace it with the same model-year used truck with the same mileage (what do you call it in km, kilometrage?), same motor, and so on, after accounting for your deductable?

It's not a new vehicle, so new vehicle replacement isn't even at question. The question is does their offer get you in the ballpark for getting another one in the condition this was in before your accident?

Your insurance is supposed to make you whole, minus your deductible. No upgrades, not better in any way, just not worse; back to where you were before the accident. If 18420 gets you back to whole, it's a good offer. If it doesn't, it's an inadequate offer. You may not be able to get a better offer, but start by knowing what it would take you to replace it with a very similar vehicle. Start looking at what's for sale in the marketplace.

from what I’m finding replacement of vintage and engine wear is about ball park, maybe minus a couple thousand. In Canada we have less inventory than stateside, but not bad.

now question is 2.7, 3.5 turbo, or 5.0l. I’m know nothing of the 2.7 and it’s known issues. Can someone advise me on that? Maybe it needs its own thread

 

If I were to replace my 2010 5.4 3v f150 I'd seriously considering a 2.7 f50. It's tiny but mighty .
fuel mileage is way better, basically the same horsepower and more torque then my 5.4.

What do you use the f150 for? Daily driver?

My uncle in Saskatchewan got a used f150 with 170000 kns for 23k a year ago.
