Ford recommends oil changes every 7,500 miles since 2010 but if i change oil on a 2008 or new vehicle ill recommend 6,000 miles. I dont really trust the oil life monitor its based on idle time and miles driven.

I would change it too, especially on the First Oil Change. I don't wait too long to get all the possible metal shavings out with the first oil. There after it might be okay to change it later, but I would change it soon.

I got mine done at about 4000km they said it was too early. I said its a brand new engine and want it done now so they did haha

I also got a 3/36k service plan. The dealer told me the plan comes with 7 services. I drive my truck very little, less than 10k per year. We , the dealer and I decited to devide the years by 7 and service it by time and not mileage. No reason not to use what I paid for.
