My opinion is that they're over kill for an F-150. Save yourself some money and go with a 2000lb kit.

I've got the Air Lift kit and love it, but Firestone makes a great kit too.

I haul a lot of metal and trash all the time and plan on getting a camper for me and my wife. I don't think a 2000 pound kit will do me very good with all the stuff I haul

I'm putting on an AirLift 2000# kit with Load Controller compressor next weekend. We purchased a new fifth wheel with a 1490# pin weight, so I wanted to maintain a good ride. Honestly, a 5000# is definitely overkill for a half ton. AirLift must agree because they only offer a 2000# kit for half tons.

If you're using it like that ALL the time...you might want to look into Timbrens. They're large bumpstops without the air. They have a tendency to bump when the truck is empty so I don't usually suggest them, but they might be best in your case.

The reason I was going to go with an air suspension is I was going to put an air compressor in the truck torun a Detroit locker in the back and have air on board for use
