Default Finally have my build plan

Bought my truck pre-loved last August and I'm certain this will be my daily driver for YEARS after payoff. Kids help you slow down and realize a paid off truck really is the best kind of truck. 👍🏻

So that has launched the train of thought that whatever I do to build this thing, I better make sure I like it because A)it will be around for a while B) I won't switch things around or change it often and waste excessive amounts of money. (Staying around $2,500 to put this build into play).

After seeing pictures and perusing the forums for months, I've finally figured out the exact build and look I want.

I currently have a 2" leveling kit on the truck as well as 33"X11" AT's on stock Lariat 20's, but the plan I have laid out will further refine the truck and give it a tougher look.

I have a pic of how the truck sits below.

Plans are as follows--
1- 2" rear block. This will give the truck a .5" rake coupled with the leveling kit that I already have.

2- 2011+ Raptor wheels. 17" wheels will be much easier on tire pricing, more sidewall, and I've always been infatuated with these wheels. PLUS I will buy them used, and if I play my cards right, I can get them cheap.

3- 285/70R17 Federal Couragia MT's-$ 178 a tire on Amazon, good price, aggressive look and decent road manners. I had these on a Jeep and have missed having them. These are about the same size as the tire I have now, but with the more aggressive design, they will look bigger.

4- Livernois Tuner/Tunes- I've been impressed with how they handle business. It was between 5 star and Livernois and I'm pretty well set on Livernois. Should turn the ecoboost into a 6k pound rocket.

5- Resonator delete, stock raptor muffler- when I bought the truck it had a resonator delete and a stock muffler with the tip cut off right after the rear axle. I went back fully stock, but am reconsidering this move... I think between the resonator delete and the Raptor exhaust, it will help the tone of the ecoboost, and the twin raptor exhaust tips would look amazing.

Thanks for reading and I'll update this thread as I can find these items and install. Or if I can think of any major details to add.

Sounds like a good plan. As you know $2500 can be spent up pretty quickly

Extremely quickly. Lol... I'll keep eyes peeled on Craigslist, eBay, and any other second hand places for the raptor parts.

You may want to try here for the Raptor parts. Those OEM Raptor wheels don't go cheap though. But IMO, are worth it.

Thanks!

I've got a few leads on some off of craigslist. Just depends on who is selling them, but I've budgeted 400-600 of the total build budget for the wheels. It just depends on who is selling them. I'm definitely not buying new though. Not at the price some people have been letting them go for. Lol

No problem. When I was looking, I found Detroit Wheel and Tire, they recondition wheels. I thought I'd use them as a very last resort, I'm sure they do good work, but they wanted $375 a piece for the Raptor wheels.
