Default Filler up...slow

I recently have been having issues filling up my truck. No matter what I do, it always clicks off like it does when it’s full. I tried filling it slow, sideways and even tried holding my mouth a certain way. But I may get a gallon in at a time and it clicks off. I have an idea what it might be, but I am wondering if any of you guys have had any similar issues.

Yep, pull the nozzle out about halfway and hold it to the side as much as you can and it will flow uninterrupted.

There's your problem, you're filling the wrong tank!

JK, Madpiranha (sorry, it's spelled wrong in the avatar) has it right.

I have tried that also. I really have tried everything. Sorry, but I am looking for a fix.

Have you tried pulling up on the nozzle? It may be hitting the back of the hose, getting backpressure and setting off the sensor.

Most of the time slow filling is caused by a plugged fuel tank vent hose. The air can't get out of the tank so the fuel can't get in. It's a smaller hose that should be running from the charcoal canister up near the filler neck. There's also a chance that it's the solenoid or the charcoal canister itself that's bad, but generally spiders get in the vent hose and block it up so find it, pull it off the canister and blow some air through it.
