Default Fender flare scratch removal?

anyone know the best way to get the half circular fender flare scratches out of the paint? If you’re not familiar I took my fender flares off cause a lady hit my truck and now I have four half circle scratches on each fender. FYI I have a 2016 so aluminum body so there’s no rust just scratches. Dude at the car wash said sandblast it with wet sand paper but honestly I don’t really trust myself taking wet sandpaper to my paint.

Post some pics. Id start with a buffing compound on a DA and go from there. No way I'd start off sanding...

without pics it is hard to tell. try rubbing compound if that doesn't work try 2000 grit wet/dry sand paper with light pressure, trial and error may need a coarser grit but start extra fine and work down, if the clear is not worn thru you can gently hand rub/polish it out.

I mean I was at the car wash and the dude did buff and wax my whole car and it didn’t come out then he tried some super fuzzy buffer and some special looking scratch fixer compound and nothin

that looks pretty deep, at this point it looks like rubbing compound won't work, you can try sanding, but you may need to consider putting flares back on. if you have to sand and reclear, the whole panel needs to be sprayed

My 2013 has light scratches after just a few months with flares on. Haven't put them back on since. If I ever do, I'll consider a layer of 3M clear under it.

No offense, but if he buffed the whole truck, he did a crap job. There are swirls all over that would come out if properly corrected. The flare scratches would be tough, but I would try a real detailer, not a car wash guy.

yeah they had a whole list of different detail options and I went with the express wax which was the cheapest haha but he used a buffer but I dont know I’ll probably go somewhere else next time
