feathered tread

have 18" goodyears on fx4 wheels.the outside tread on the front tires are feathered after 2500 miles.dealer said they need rotated.it is a 2010 super crew.is this normal.anyone else having this problem.thanks.

i'd make them align it. its covered up to 12000 miles try that and rotating them. i have seen 2009-10 with the same problem but they had more miles on them then that
