i am thinking of buying a programmer from a guy on a different site.

neither of us has any other good/bad feedback selling/buying there.

can a mod here act as an intermediate and collect money from me and only give it to him when i receive the package in good working condition?

 

While I understand your hesitation over purchasing from somebody unknown on the Net, that's not really the role of a moderator of this site. Your best bet is to pay him directly yourself using Paypal that way if the items you purchase aren't up to snuff, you have the option of a Paypal protection case should it be needed.
