I can think of several trucks on here which would show that statement to be a lie.

I didn't spend $400 on my tuner and I could care less about a hp increase. I changed the shift points and now the truck feels like it has more power off the line.
I run 87 octane all the time.

Should I go with 4.30 or 4.56 gears? I originally planned on 4.56.

Intake, exhaust, tune, headers, cams, blower, gears, nitrous. Same stuff you can do to any vehicle. I have seen these threads on the internet for 15 years. It's always "what will make my truck faster". It's a truck, did you buy it to drag race it?
