Default Fame damage

Hi new to the site. Had a few questions and needing advice. Was out the other night diving a trail. The ruts were deep so on the way back out tried to stay on top of them. As I got to the up I slid off back into in the process hitting a rock which hit my frame on the front in next to the swing arm bending and denting it.. It's probably the size of a Soft ball. Took it in today for alinement and they told me the way it was bent I would have to get the frame fixed or they could never fix it. Any ideas on how much frame work cost? Btw I'm driving an 06 lariat 4x4 with the 5.4..Any Info will help and much appreciated thx

Yikes! Your insurance company might drop coverage for that. Usually they just total vehicles with frame damage. But, what they don't know won't hurt them.

I would say, between 800 & 1000 dollars. It most likely costs 300 or so just to put the truck on a proper frame rack, then they have to pull it back into shape, then go through all the work to get it back off the rack. I'm sure billybob's repair will do it much cheaper- just remember you get what you pay for. Still think your mighty F150 was built for serious off-roading?
