Default Faded trim HELP!

Hey guys. On my 06 fx4, my wheel well trim is horribly faded! Ive tried peanut butter as another person had suggested on this thread but that only lasts one wash. What are you guys using and how long does it last in rain and heat? Thanks!!

I use ArmourAll or any dashboard cleaner on black or grey trim parts that have faded out on my truck. It doesn't last terribly long, maybe only 50% after the first rain and then gone by the second? But in the summer when there's not too much rain I only have to do it a few times during the summer and it looks pretty good!

my plastic isn't to bad, I use back to black, or you can paint them black, or go to the "how to section" and read up on the tread that uses a heat gun to fix faded plastics. good luck!

Showroom gray and black also give good results if done properly.

One way to solve the fading issue is to have them painted. They would look good black or even color matched.

The bad part of paint it chips and fades as well... But I have begun using a spray on bed liner product which tends to be more durable and resists fading better. It will not last forever but will last longer than anyother home grown cure I have seen or tried. You can get it in several different colors also.

It shouldn't fade or chip any more than the stock paint. As a matter of fact some after market paint jobs are better than factor paint if it's do correctly.

^ X2 tape it off or pull the pieces and spray them with Krylon Fusion Black and then a UV clear coat and they will look brand new.
