Default Factory Stereo Problems

I have a 05 F150 with a 6 disc factory changer that is not working at all. It gives me a cd error message and it will not play or eject or work at all. Every time I start the truck it makes noise like its trying to eject a cd... Is there any suggestions other than replacing the entire factory stereo..other than that the radio works fine..Thanks in advance

Mine did the same thing, I pulled it all apart and never did figure it out. Luckly a friend of mine had a single disc out of another F150 that he let me have.

Can you get the changer to rotate to a different slot ?
Try disconnecting the battery neg cable for 30 minutes;do not start the truck, turn key to accessory and check for error(s).

I have a single disc cd changer if you're interested. I think it's at my parents house somewhere and I can get it if you want it. It's an MP3 but not a 6-disc.
