F150 4wd '01 5.4 motor won't start. Tried boosting, changed battery and still no go. When key is turned to start position all lights go out as if battery is dead, engine won't turn over, I get 1 click in the dash.

Anyone else have this problem?

 

Make sure your in park or neutral!

Had a Honda years ago similar problem turned out to be a blown fuse under the hood. Not real familiar with your model but it might be a place to start.

 

check your starter solenoid, on my '02, it was loose enough to lose connection and not start

 

checked the starter solenoid not loose seems like a hell of a ground some where as if the starter is seized.it worker fine when i parked it.i will have to pull it off,

 

u check the alternator?
