I have a 2012 with sync and a backup cam. As far as I understand the backup camera is always on, even if the display is not. I would like to tap into the video+ and video- and send the feed to a dvr as as an alternative to purchasing a separate rear dash cam. I like the idea of the cqm being on the tailgate for thebest view possible.
I am not sure exactly what av technology the video+ and - uses. Is it composite? How feasible is this?
