Default F150 Raptor!

I was wondering if anyone had any info on the 6.2 V8 that is supposed to come out with the Raptor? Is the truck going to a more faster version of the 5.4 or will the 6.2 run about a 8.8 to 60 like the 5.4.
Thanks

I'm pretty sure it will be quite a bit faster considering the extra 80-90 horsepower and plenty more torque...I can't see them making a larger motor for it and not having any performance gains.

Well, I'd consider it would have significantly more speed due to the added displacement and hp/lb-ft bump. It's estimated at 400hp/400lb-ft, but most people I speak to with good Ford connections believe Ford is sandbagging these figures knowing it'll blow away all other motors on the market once the full details are released.

The 6.2L version used in the Baja races where the Raptor took 3rd in its class, supposedly was pushing around 500hp. So I'd more than guarantee that the 6.2L will be significantly quicker than the 5.4L. How much quicker I can't say, but it should put down some decent #'s.

according to Ford, you will be able to get the 6.2 this time next year for the 2011 model year.
