1999 f150 odometer comes on and off anyone know what i can do to fix it?

this seems to be a common thing. there is a complicated fix in the how-tos about this. my 01 does it regularly but rather than tear into the dash and do a solder job i just live with it.

my 99 does it , i just tap the instrument cluster and it comes back on lol

One or two Of the prong connectors are probably bad...there is a fix but you have to Pull the Gauge panel....my 99 did the same thing and I did like bigun hahaha

It was NOT complicated at all for me on my 01 screw and I'm not a mechanic or anything, just make sure you remember how to put things back together. It took me a bit over a hour to do everything, it was easy. Sort of a PITA but it was free and quick fix.

If you have NO idea how to work on cars or solder I wouldn't recommend you doing this but it was fairly simple for me
