Default F150 mouse nest- NEED HELP

So, i bought a used truck, a 1999 f150 EXT 4x4. and when i bought it, i found a mouse nest in the air vents, and 6 months later nothing im doing is getting the smell out, and there is no debris in the vents. So i wanna try to freshen it out with a urine odor eliminator throughout the entire HVAC system. how would i do this? i have no clue where the cabin air intake is, all help would be appreciated.

Hi, the air conditioner intake is located behind your hood and in front of your windshield. Make sure that your system is NOT on MAX or RECIRCULATION modes.

Remove the dash, and wash it all out with soap & water. Even if you can't smell it, who wants to breath mouse terd dust & fungus?

With it running on high, spray liscol disinfecting spray through the fresh air inlet. I'd spray at least two cans. That'll do the trick. As a bonus, if no one I'd going to be in the cab, let the windows up and let it do its job.

Take the blower out and make sure the nest wasn't in there and blown up to the vents.

I have no advise but good luck. My parents let an old Subaru GL sit in their barn for a couple years, during which a mouse put a nest in the vent system. I started using the car around the farm when I was 15, used it for about 3 years before selling it. The smell got better, but it never left.

The idea of spraying lysol at the intake might help. I'd also try to pop off the vent covers, douse one of these with 409, and scrub in as far as you can reach.

Be careful what you spray in those vents. Make sure it has a scent you can live with.

I had a mouse problem in my old Ranger. Read somewhere peppermint oil is a natural mouse repellent.
Good news, It did seem to do the trick repelling those @#$^%$^s..
Bad news, now I couldn't get rid of that putrid stale peppermint odor.
