F150 model changes - springs
Present vehicle is 2018 F150 SC 3.5EB 4X4 Max Tow. Payload sticker shows 1915# and we tow fiver with tailgate removed = 1915+80=2000 pl
Recent years of F150 rear spring design is a single spring with shorter spring. Previous was a double spring with shorter spring in stack.
My thoughts were whether relying on one spring was as effective for payload.
Perhaps loading/deflection is not as progressive
Here police force are now using F150s with a "police" package.
These vehicles GVW is slightly higher and have returned to the original double spring stack from 2018/19
Are there any thoughts/conclusions?
