Default F150 was hit. Wheres the damage at?

So, my dad got into an accident with my 150.. At first i thought nothing was wrong, but today i was looking at it and noticed there WAS damage..
He was backing out of a parking spot when someone hit the tow ball. That caused the whole truck to swing over, and the rear bumper hit the guys door.
The bumper hit behind where its mounted and took some paint off. I was looking today and the bumper ends are alright (The chrome parts) as is the step. Gona have to have the paint damage touched up with touch up paint and a small brush(its in a spot where even a ghetto paint job wouldnt be seen much unless LOOKING for it).

Kind of hard to explain the problem, but ill try:
What im REALLY worried about, is the bumper is now crooked.
Theres around 1" between the top of the recess where the bumper goes and the bumper on the right side, and like 2-3" on the left. Its quite obvious that its not "level". I dont know if the left is low and the right is normal or the right is high and the left is normal. Im worried that the frame may have been bent or something.
I was under the truck and looked at the 3 bolts on each side that are used to adjust the hitch & bumper (i think?) And they dont look like they shifted. The Hitch also seems a bit off (Thats where most of the impact went. But it wasnt head on, it was sideways, which is what the problem is). Any idea as to what may be the problem, other than the frame being bent? The ball was hit from drivers side heading to passenger side. When i say right i mean passenger, left is driver.

It would probably be
easier to pull the bumper off so you can look at frame and bumper mounts without laying on your back. Stand behind the truck and check out the frame.

I was going to, but was told id be better off taking it to a shop and having them check it on one of those frame machines that measure crap to like the millimeter lol
You got directions for how to remove the bumper? Never done it and dont want to **** up on a new truck lol. Not like its the usual POS Cop cars/taxis i play with.

that answers my question how?

Dont know and dont care whose fault it is. All i know is he was inching out, the dude was on the wrong side of the lot or whatever, and the hitch snagged on the inside of the front fender and swung the whole truck over.
Other driver was hella close to the parked cars too, cause i saw the pictures of the damage and my dad was sticking out less than like 2 feet from the other cars. No idea why he was that close to the other side.

Anyways, please refrain from commenting unless its useful information.

In my friends 08 XLT, there were 6 bolts holding the receiver hitch to the frame, and then 6 smaller bolts holding the bumper to the hitch. If you're still wondering how to take the bumper off.

You can just bolt on a new hitch and bumper. I got rear ended by a friend and it didn't bend the actual hitch, but the bumper mount. No way your frame is bent

and yes, you could have possable frame damage. or just the mounts are bent. either way, gonna end up being expensive just to check all those at a shop.

Havent had a chance to drop the bumper yet. Hopefully this weekend if it isnt raining ill drop the bumper and hitch and check the frame and individual metal components for any bending or cracking.

I agree with this. If the description of the accident is accurate, there's no way the frame was bent. These trucks are tough and the hitch/bumper/sheetmetal will give way long before the frame warps or bends. Unless he hit your dad running 30 through a parking lot, I just don't see how you could have frame damage.

If that accident bent the frame, then Ford wouldn't be able to keep F-150's on the road since every single minor fender bender would result in a bent frame and most insurance companies will immediately total anything with frame damage.

I would loosen the bumper and hitch and see if it just knocked them out of alignment. It's possible that there's no damage other than the paint and they just need to be adjusted back to sit level. Or you may need to repair the mounts or the bumper itself.
