It never ceases to amaze me how many new users think its OK to go all caps or use huge fonts...lol.

BLK - show us a pic of your dash so we can see what it reads. Then tell us more about how you drive your truck and make sure you are using all 6 gears and didnt accidentally switch settings to use less gears which I have seen peeps do.

Default For Real ?

ALL CAPS & FIRST POST = could be a troll

Be that as it may, if one were to really "punch-the-pedal" kicking up the turbos at every traffic light with the Ecoboost then the mileage will be very LOW. I know because that's what I experienced when I had one for a couple of days.

Default Ok ok

Sorry didnt know I wasnt allowed to use caps?!? Anyways thank you for helping me. As for a picture of the dash which screen would u like to c? As there are many. i will ask Ford to c if i have screwed with the settings. However even they are shocked with the crapy milage. I am going to have them look at it. But i would like to have some idea what they are looking for. I do drive like an *** sometimes but i dont thing always and if so could that really account for 1/2 of what others are getting? Again Thank You for any help u have to offer

OK, glad your not a troll. I was asking pics of the MPG screen to weed out the troll factor. Besides that if you have a heavy foot then dont complain but if not then sometimes people will accidentally hit their shifter's +/- button which will change the available gears from 6 to 4 when not in M mode. So basically your truck can be driving like its a 5 speed instead of the full 6 which will affect MPG.

I think this option is for all 2011 F-150s. The shifter features are listed in the owners manual. Also give the truck some time to break in and YES you are not the only one a little disappointed by their new trucks MPG but typically it improves when you are easy on the gas peddle.

When i hit the +/- buttom on my 2011 shifter it just shows on the dash what gear i am in, the truck still shift through all 6 no problems. I perffer to hit it so i know what gear the truck is in.

When in D press the - button and it will lower the available gears from 6 to 5 to 4.

"With progressive range select, a toggle on the shift lever allows the customer to reduce the range of available gears while in Drive. When the customer “taps” down into range select mode, the new available 4.2-inch LCD screen shows the available gears and highlights the current gear state. This feature allows the driver to limit use of upper gears when heavily loaded or while towing on grades."

No worries. The temptation to step on the gas with a powerful ride is hard not to do. Remember it is a truck and not a Prius but also remember if you hit the gas hard in a Prius it will result in much lower MPG than advertised. The main thing is that your new F-150 gets better MPG than your last truck!
