Might be a dumb question, but did you inspect and change the air cabin filter? It can have a role to play.

Also, on what information does the dealer rely to say it ''is fixed''? That's something you can surely ask! If they say A/C is within the specs, ask for 1) the specs and 2)the results showing it meets them.

No cabin filter in a 2010. I think the last year the F150 came with them was around 2004, and then resumed again in 2015 I think. For those of us in between, our evaporator unfortunately serves as a "cabin filter" collecting all of the crud over the years....

After 25 minute drive home. Lowest temp at vent is 61 and temp in cab is 82.
Called service tech at ford and asked him what the spec was that the used to say it was fixed. He stated measuring temp at center of dash with system running at medium setting, 52 degrees is the ford acceptance specification and that was why he considered it fixed and released it to me. I told him I would like to see the spec when I bring it back in and I want to see them measure the temp with me there because there was no way it is even close to 52.

Ask him to connect to IDS and show you the coil temp and it's cycling points. On a 13, it is suppose to be 36-38 degrees.

Dang! I've sometimes thought mine was warm at the vents compared to my wife's car, but even at that I run in the mid to upper 40's when it's around 90'ish. 61 at the vents would be all but unbearable here in the southeast. I definitely think something is out of whack.

Ford may not admit it but they heard your complaints about the weak A/C and got it right in the current generation. My 2016 puts out 36 degrees at the vent. I've read on the interwebs (if it's on the internet it's got to be true right) that the problem is that the evaporator is too small to absorb the heat and humidity.

I would suggest that you take a ride with the tech or the service manager at the time of day when it is hottest and bring some thermometers to put in the vents and cab so they can see the readings. If they still argue with you dispute the charge if it was on a credit card and find another mechanic.

Has nothing to do with the size of the coil, it's programing issue. See the post called compressor cycling fix. Same system with a hack, will freeze you out. Just my opinion though.
