Don't forget about Dealer Markups...$$$$$

Did this quote bother anyone else?

...and things are only poised to get better now that the automaker has shoehorned its new 6.2-liter V8 under the truck's hood.
How is putting a V8 in a fullsize truck "shoehorning" ? I don't think its really that much bigger than the 5.4 is. Maybe getting the V10 in would be, but I know that's been done also.

Lol, my water bottle is a liter. I think they were trying to make things sound more impressive then they really are. Too bad they didn't post the hp/trq numbers, that's Much more impressive

Base MSRP starts at just over $41K. So a fully loaded model will most likely tip the scales at just over $50K.

That's why you order it, not purchase the one on the lot. Those sitting on the lot are for those people who "Got to have it", no matter the cost.

Keep in mind, from what I've read, the 6.2L is based off the 5.4L. So knowing Ford couldn't fit the 6.8L under the hood of an F150, and see how my 5.4L fills the engine bay on my 2006, I can see how dropping the 6.2L in the F150 may be a tight squeaze.

nevermind haha actually doesnt seem like its much more of a tight fit than the 5.4

ak_cowboy 04-14-2010 03:38 PM

It may be a little tighter, but there's still room.
This guy swapped a V10 into his F150

How about getting rid of the baby bed and putting a 6.5' bed on it?

I absolutely hate the look of the 5.5 bed on a supercab.

I may just have to sell my 10' Screw for one too:help:

Ford did this on purpose. The longer the wheelbase the more you are hindered while off-roading. While I agree the 5.5' bed looks weird on the Scab models, it was done intentionally by Ford to minimize the length. It is also why many people didn't think Ford would release the Raptor in a Screw model, since it would be much longer and decrease it's off-road ability.
