Default Exteng Trifecta Toneau

Anyone have any experiences, good or bad with the Exteng Trifecta Tonneau Cover? Can get one for $299 and it looks pretty good from the web site. Thanks.

Hey, welcome to the board!
Yeah, I just got an Extang Trifecta installed a lil over two weeks ago and I absolutely love. The install is a breeze (even tho I didn't actually do it as I was getting other things installed at the shop and they said they wouldn't charge me for install/labor cuz it takes like 5 mins.)

It is SUPER easy to unlatch, open, fold up, and connect and leave your bed totally exposed, and just as easy to reverse the process. It prob only weighs 20-30 pounds so a little 6 yr old girl could take it off and put it back on.

At first at highway speeds I did notice a slight noise of the cover 'flapping' in the wind (honestly, it was mildly annoying!), but that has all but seemed to 'disappear' (???) w/time on the truck. I don't know if it just had to stretch and settle in over time to the specific contours of my truck bed...

Oh, and I've thoroughly washed my car twice and hosed it down completely & submerged H2O over the tonneau as a test twice to see how much water/moisture would get thru into the bed. Afterwards, although I didn't climb in and touch every single corner and crevice, from simply looking at it and running my hands over the uncovered bed, it was completely dry as far as I could tell as were the contents that I had left in the bed when I had washed it. They were not wet at all.

So, YES, I would buy it, especially if you can get it at that price!

GREAT...glad to hear that! I think you will be very happy w/that investment, as well as whatever longterm mpg increase you may see due to better aerodynamics as an added bonus!

This tonneau (or any other for that matter) def adds a certain "finishing" look to our trucks as I think it just completes the look from that of an exposed, empty bed showing, to something that is nice, and slick and streamlined (or as streamlined as a 3ton truck can look!).

Fed Ex man delivered the Exteng Trifecta Tonneau yesterday. Out of the box and on my long bed in 15 minutes. Looks like it was made for this truck. Nice and smooth. You cannot go wrong with this one. Like dre said it really finishes off the look. If you are in the market, buy it!

I've had the Extang since I bought the truck back in August all I can say is awesome it was extremely easy to install its also just as easy to take off and I've ran my truck through car washes with it on and the bed has dare I say never had water in it.as far as the cold months it has no effect as to opening or closing the cover unlike a typical roll up.you will be very happy with it as far as I'm concerned you can't go wrong
