Why bother with a dual exhaust on the ecoboost?

Ah, ignore my previous post then. The second pic in your original post shows an ecoboost.

I have the two cats with the o2 sensor in the middle of the cat, could I put high flow cats without a sensor in and then do exhaust bungs after the cat and put the o2 there with no problem like a check engine light?

Well, I have the 5.0 and not the 4.6 but with that Magnaflow exhaust, I do not have any drone with factory cats and resonator. However, I don't think I would want it any louder as my 80 mile round-trip daily commuter. It is certainly louder and deeper than stock. I can remote start the truck from my office at work and hear it outside, not that far but was not possible before. That also means no more sneaking off

i have a 2013 5.0L with the Roush Side exit cat-back exhaust. not too much drone in the cab on the highway unless im towing a trailer or hauling a heavy load. sounds nice and loud from the outside though.
