Default Errror codes on 2005 - Failsafe Mode

I just bought my 2005 from a Ford dealer and I'm already having problems with it. I haven't even put on 200 mi yet! (It did have 150k + at purchase but still!)

My check engine light came on today and a dash msg which indicated 'ENGINE FAILSAFE MODE'. I had the codes checked and they were :

P061B: Internal control module - torque calculation performance
P2106: Throttle actuator control - system forced limited power

Anyone have any idea what I'm looking at here. I've Google'd these codes and haven't found anything conclusive. One tech blogger found these codes and said the MAF sensor was being thrown off due to a problem in the air filter housing but said that this was extremely rare. Another article said these were related codes and that similar codes were associated with some uncontrolled acceleration problems with the Freestar.

If this is just replacing a module, I can handle that. If not, I'd like to know what I'm dealing with before I take it to a shop. Any suggestions would be GREATLY APPRECIATED. Thanks!

BTW - the engine is a 5.4L
