Default Entry Lighting

So I have the setting set for when I approach my 2021 F150 the lights are supposed to come on. This however stopped working and when I open the door to enter or exit the truck the lights in the cab do not come on. Everything was working before it did an update but now it’s all messed up. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Check that the interior lights disable switch has not been depressed. It's the one in the center of the overhead buttons, and it will glow orange when you've disabled interior lights.

I too am all of a sudden having issues with my lighting. I get that there are separate switches for the map lights and rear passenger areas. I understand the above mentioned yellow door switch cut off and how it works.

Moreover, I noticed that the approach lighting isn't operating so perhaps its a setting in Sync.

It seems like I have two options: completely off interior lights or always on interior lights**. I can always manually control the front map and rear ceiling lights.

If I find that lighting control gets messed up by some setting I need to make detailed notes. I will say the the one sentence in the "owner's manual" is really inadequate. ** How about 2 sentences Ford?

I have to be missing something simple here so I'll report back soon.

I'm not exactly sure which of the following worked but I went into Sync and toggled on and off all the zone lighting controls. Also toggled the ambient footwell lighting up and down off of that control beside the light switch.

Earlier there was no approach lighting along with the lack of interior lighting. It all works as it should and I'm 100% sure that there is nothing I switched off.

I'll chalking it up to weird electronic settings that get changed like those on your mobile phone randomly.
