Default engine swap

so i was thinking about converting my 2007 f150 into a diesel but dont know wat engine would be best to put in. can a half ton even handle all that weight in the front end? so if you guys kno the best diesel motor to get max hp and tourque let me kno. if that doesnt work i thought about putting the 6.8 v10 ford motor in which is much lighter than a diesel. do you think id get alot more power out of this than the 5.4, let me kno thanks!
