Default Engine Light

2013 Eco-Boost, engine died, wrench symbol appeared, fired back up, drove a short way, engine slowed, engine light lit up. Shut off, then started back up, made it to a repair shop he said either throttle body, pedal sensor, or throttle position sensor. Shop can't look at it for 2 weeks, booked up. until Anyone have some insight/experience these symptoms?

Well, without looking at it and without having any codes, all anyone can say is that it's either throttle body, pedal sensor, or throttle position sensor. Most likely.... or something else.

you haven’t identified your engine, the code(s) or much of any specific info to go on.

edit: don’t think 2.7 was out in 13, so assume it’s 3.5

I'd report back here the codes that you saw. A throttle body from Tasca is $120, so it might be worth a shot starting there.

Apologize, the shop didn't tell me the codes. Thanks for the replies. Guess either of the 3 won't be all that expensive.

If you plan on working on this yourself, it would be a wiser use of funds to first invest in the capability to do some of your own diagnosing. If you already have a Windows laptop, an OBDII interface is only $35 on Amazon and the software, Forscan, is free.

To guess, replace and hope isn't much of a plan except to waste money, time and still end up with a busted truck unless you get lucky.
