Engine coolant?

Engine coolant?
I have a 2004 Ford F150, my owners manual states that it needs Motorcraft Gold Coolant VC-7-A.
So the only store that carries Motorcraft in my entire town had Motorcraft Gold VC-7-B, and they say they sell a lot of it, but have never sold the VC-7-A....
Ford f150 is a very common truck... I'm like 100% sure I need the Motorcraft Gold Coolant VC-7-A.... I'm really confused right now.
I just went out and bought the VC-7-B, because I drove out to it and didn't want to leave there with nothing. Will the VC-7-B be the same as the VC-7-A? Will it hurt anything or bring down the performance. No idea about any of this stuff. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you

I think that you will find that the "use only......" is just a method to sell their product. In the case of antifreeze you will find many brands that are compatible. Since you will not void any warranty I would use what ever, or if you are worried about mixing two types simply flush and refill with whatever you feel like using.
