Default Electronic noise

I installed a CB radio in my 2000 F150 and even using a noise filter, it has a steady electronic buzz coming through the radio, but only when the ignition is on. I have the CB wired directly to the battery. Anyone have an idea what the cause of the noise could be and how to correct it?

I have an electronic vibration noise when I open the drivers door on my truck. Not sure if its the fuel pump or what it is.

That's pretty vague. Where exactly is the antenna, & how exactly is it mounted? Did you prep the surface before mounting it?

Again: vague. Brand, model, source, age, condition...?

Did you try it withOUT the filter? We can only know what you tell us, so the more you tell us, the more likely we can help you figure it out.

Do you mean just when the key is in RUN, but the engine is off? Or do you mean only when the engine is running?

Why? Routing the wires through the engine bay can pick up engine noise. It should be wired to the dash fuse block; either to a previously-unused socket on a key-switched buss bar; or to a tap on the factory radio's key-switched fuse.

Find the source first. What's the truck's condition? Put ALL its details, options, & history into your signature so we can review them with each reply. Are all its original RFI protections still in-place? This shows what older trucks had - yours should be very similar:

The truck is a 2000 f150 xlt 4x4 sport side. I am the second owner and the truck is in very good condition, with no modifications. The CB is a Connex 3300HP with a Palomar 225 linear amp connected to a BigCat 9 (dominator style) antenna mounted to the steel headwall of the bed. The radio and amp are connected directly to the battery via 12ga copper wire, for the sole purpose of maximum amperage. FYI the noise was still there using smaller wire and a lighter plug or tapped to the under dash fuse panel or under hood panel, with or without the filter. I have tried other radios and still have the noise, except with a magnetic mount antenna not suitable for my equipment.
