I am going to be buying my programmer within the next two weeks and just had one major question. Is the only difference between the two the ability for the Gryphon to have custom tunes? I am just trying to figure out the reason for the 50 dollar difference in price. Its a gift to me sp price really is no option but I just wanted to know.

gryphon for sure, seeing that you have a CAI, you can squeeze the most HP out with a custom tune and worth the 50 bucks IMO

 

Figured as much. Thanks ATOM. I'm also gonna get my exhaust done next month so there's another reason to get the gryphon.

 

Another reason is the canned tunes on the Gryphon are actually tweaked a little compared to the Edge's canned tunes. You won't be disappointed with it.

 

Buy the Gryphon. I bought an edge last week and it doesn't play well with my CAI. You will probably need custom tunes anyway because the CAI leans out your fuel/air too much for the edge's stock truck programming.

Well, it will be here today. I ended up getting it from autoanything.com for 359 shipped with free overnight shipping. They forgot to edit the email address so I got the receipt lol. Either way I'll post some pics and such when it gets installed.

 

You can have the edge upgraded look on the PHP site. try it first you may like it well enough.
