Thats what we the students argued but then he pointed out more, this guy had more intake than anyone ever should. I am tracking my mileage. Gonna see how this does.

Because you've told yourself that your fuel mileage will change, it now will.
You'll modify your driving style in acceleration, coasting, and stopping. But you'll do it subconsciously. Whether you gain or lose depends on you.
If you think about it, an intake in itself does increase fuel economy, but many people will "step on it" to hear the whoosing, the whistling, or the rumbling of the intake.
You've taken the word and expertise of one person, but have failed to consider real world condition, this is the difference between theory and practice. If it were that easy, Ford would mass produce it, increase the fuel economy, and sell the truck for more.
But since you bought it, let us know the results when you run through a dozen or so tanks.

Ya, I only go by hard evidence. If the numbers don't add up then they don't add up. When it comes to this stuff I want it on paper. I am even gonna wait till it gets here then drive normal on one tank, install and go from there.

When these spacers were invented fuel was injected into the air stream just in front of them. The old throttle body injectors and even older carbs saw fuel injected into the air stream in front of the intake manifold. What these things did was swirl the air fuel mixture to keep the fuel atomized while it traveled the length of the manifold. With port fuel injection, like out triton engines, the fuel is injected right at the opening of the intake port of the cylinder head just in front of the valve. Port injection, get it? So your little spacer swirls the air after the throttle body, no fuel yet, and the swirling air travels the length of the intake manifold till it finally reaches the injector. Fuel is finally injected and it travels a few inches and reaches the combustion chamber. By the time the air reaches the injector it is no longer swirling so that is why they are affectionately called paper weights.

Hey texasedition have you decided what the booster did for you? I am looking into getting one and I read a lot of reviews that say it seems to work. I would like to know what you think.
