Default Eco boost

Put my Eco boost on the highway for the first time. Why am I only getting 18 and 19 mph on my average meter. I reset it right before I hit the highway and 19 is all I got. Pissed off

That's odd because I have had my truck for just 2 1/2 weeks and I have already hit 21.9 mpg just driving to work. Currently averaging 16.8 mpg just driving around the city...

Just try and be patient. You should start to see better mileage as you put more miles on it. I wouldn't be too disappointed because I have heard of other guys getting even less than that. I might be worried if I was getting 14-15mpg, but I think you will be fine.

Just drove from Jacksonville Fl. to Ky and back and averaged 22 mpg but I have 10,000 miles on my 2011.

New vehicles never have good mileage until they're broken in. 20000 miles or so. Patience Grasshoper, patience!

What was your average speed for that distance? How far did you drive? What gears do you have? 4wd or 2wd? Was it flat? Downhill? Uphill? Mix of both?

There is NO WAY to offer any help to you (even if you want it with that ridiculous comment) if you don't give us all the information. Too many variables come into play with the truck and driving down the highway to be able to come to any sort of reasonable advice or conclusion based on the extremely basic information you have provided so far.

All engines have a break in period. Gassers usually about 20K miles, diesels 100K miles. Make sure your rocking OD, using cruise (that is one of the most helpful things as long as you try and limit it from kicking down), and fairly light acceleration.
