This is the quickest, easiest, and cheapest way I have found to disable the Auto Start/Stop Function. Press and hold the *** button down and insert a toothpick in between the button and the dash. This should hold down the *** button and disable the function. I have not had any issues in doing this. This is my method with no issues to date and if I want to enable the ***, I just remove the toothpick. You can break the toothpick as short as you like so it's not sticking out to far.
