I had a friend do that to a custom installed tv he put in a car back in 2003, but had to pay cash since in GA it is unlawful. Not sure how that would work with the Built in screen and or sync(if thats what you have), but i am sure that an automotive audio/visual guy can manipulate that.

It is super easy. Now with all legalities in mind this information is conveyed that whatever you do with it is to your responsibility and any legality issues or injury that could happen are not my fault. Well that being out of the way.

There will be one wire. (Mine is grey) it is a grounding wire that hooks up to the Ebrake in most cases. Disconnect that and hook it up to the black grounding wire. That should do it.

aftermarket maybe, pretty sure the indash with nav system uses gps speed info to lock you out also, so you need the lockpick. however If im wrong, please let me know, id love to not have to spend 250$ to be able to do it on mine,

Mine is aftermarket. I would imagine the factory one would be a bear due to liability issues.

Well yeah. I liked my little (terribly posed) thing at the beginning. But yeah. I know in Alberta it is super illegal and they will take all sorts of nasty legal actions against you. Fines, trumped up impared driving charges and all sorts of other fun stuff. With the new factory ones I'm not sure if they use a GPS redundancy system. That would suck if they do.

they use it to disable certain touchscreen navigation features if you are going over 5MPH, pretty sure the same would apply for dvd, thats why u have to buy that lockpick thing i linked, or somethingthing similar to get around it with factory nav system.
