Dumbass put it in reverse..
We were driving a friends truck and my friend tried to coast so he put it in neutral. But it slipped into reverse. Luckily we were following a tractor doing like 25. It jutted then he put it back to drive Oil pressure dropped to none, pulled over shut it off, turned it back on.. And went back to normal. It there anything that could happen bad except for bad transmission wear? Actually, terrible tranny wear* is probably better..
I will be honest I had a rental MY13 Taurus that me and a buddy were driving from the airport to our hotel and he threw it in park while I was doing about 50 (was slowing down for a light so my foot was on the brake), Nothing happened other than it acted like it was in neutral and was making a clicking noise. I would imagine there is an Idiot lock out.

Back in '83 I was working part time for an electrical contractor. One of the electricians made a bet with everyone at the work site that his 70's 4 door, worn out Caprice could leave a 50' black mark. After all the bets were in he jumped into his car and took off down the road. We were just kinda looking at each other then we heard him coming back. He had it going as fast as it could then he put it in park and locked it up. He left much more than a 50' mark and collected his winnings. Someone told him how stupid that was because now his car is ruined. He said he made more on the bet than the car was worth plus the junk yard was the cars next stop anyway, now it will just get there by tow truck.
