DTE...MAX 3 digits or 4? Stuck on 999km DTE after showing over 1k DTE...
I have a 2015 XLT 3.5L Ecoboost. I noticed several times that when full the DTE indicator would show somewhere between 1000 and 1100 kms DTE. Then just this week I filled up and noticed it has been stuck on 999km DTE for several days (probably driven 100km).
Upon searching these forums I see some people are claiming the indicator only has 3 digits and they notice it stuck at 999km DTE until they use up some fuel, and then it starts dropping. But I see other people claim as I do that their indicators show over 1000 km DTE.
I've checked my manual but there is no indication whether it is max 3 or 4 digits.
Any thoughts?

I definitely had 4 digits, and others claim the same. Is it possible some trucks have 3 and others 4? How can you actually tell it only has 3 and that it's not just a software issue?

The fuel cell is 136L and the F150 has a mixed 13.6L/100km rating, which is 1000kms (coincidence?)
Mine never showed a DTE above 1000kms. I would guess it could do more than 1000kms if driven on a flat highway at steady speed.

But seriously if I can keep it to 65 mph (105 kph) I can get down to 11-12L/100 km which would get me in the range of in excess of 1000kms....but I don't typically get that much highway time without towing a trailer so I haven't yet.
