Drop in vs spray in
I like both styles. I've always had drop in liners simply because every truck I've had came with one. Drop-in liners are better protection for dents because they aren't adhered to the body and they flex because of the ridges. They are also easier to shovel off of if you put stone or whatever in your bed. The only thing I hate is that everything slides around, but a ratchet strap takes care of that.
If I bought a new truck, I would probably go with a spray-in.

I had both. Was not to found of the drop in liner, because when I hauled my R1 in the bed and took a turn the rear tire would slide w/ the bed liner. I figured this was not right and looked pretty dumb. Once going with a spray in liner I will/have never looked back.

Nothing moves.
But I tie down the front and rear of my scooters to prevent movement.
The Bedrug is a custom fit rug that lines the whole bed, bottom, sides, and tailgate. It fits the contours of the bed. http://bedrug.com/
