I have a 2014 F-150 STX. A few weeks ago the dash light came on for the airbag. I isolated it down to the pressure sensor on the driver's seat. I disconnected the sensor and reconnected. The dash light stayed out for two weeks and now is back on.

If I leave the sensor disconnected will that disable the airbag? I do not want to disable the airbag but want to get rid of the annoying dash light with bringing it to the dealer.
