Hi everyone my parents are passing down there 2007 limited f150 to me :-), and I got a alpine ixa w404 in my ranger I had to do some custom work tho :-/ for it to fit, will they fit in the f-150s perfect with proper brackets and wiring??? And a friend of mine told me that installing néw head decks messes with truck he said the check engine light would randomly come on and other stuff but I didn't care to listen that well but Is this true??? thanks

 

With the correct faceplate and harness, the aftermarket stereo will work just fine and you will NOT have a check engine light... if he has one from an aftermarket stereo, then either it is wired wrong, or he has some other problem with the truck.

there are lots and lots of folks on here with aftermarket stereos in their trucks with no issues. Just get the right harness and faceplate kits and you will be good to go.
