Default Door pillar.Bent?

Hey all.Thanks for yalls time.
How do you unbend a door pillar?

I recently took my truck to a repair shop after a lady slammed into my door and bent it up pretty badly....
The tech has done really good work so far but he is taking his time.

The tech kept saying the door pillar was probably bent.
The ladys insurance company covered all repairs...

A few days ago I checked on the truck -I asked him did he get the truck to the farm shop and get the pillar fixed?
He said - O no the truck wont need to go to a farm shop (He then points at the floor and says -See that hook -Thats what that hook is for.

How do you unbend a door pillar with a hock on the floor?
any ideas on this???
Thanks guys

A winch that chains itself to that hook would be my guess. I honestly don't know but this post will give you a bump to the top of the page.

well, I know they un-bend frames by pulling on them with something like a chain, so maybe they do the same for door pillars?

I think you guys are right...
From what iv looked at and read they use a come-along and unbend the area that is bent...
Umm not factory specs but as long as the door works and look good i guess!
Thanks guys!

As long as you don't get hit in the same spot again, pulling metal is an art, and it does require great skill to be done properly, however, once the steel has been weakened it won't be as protective. Kinda like when you crumple up a sheet of paper and then flatten it back out. It's not the same....
