Default Door bell

Does any one know where the door bell is located or how to disable it ? I have a 97 F150 and something in the steering wheel is messed up and the bell rings when the door it open with no key in

im gonna take a shot in the dark and say its somewhere under the dash. thats where it was in my old truck and i just ripped that sucker out. BUT i guess things could have changed

Pulling the fuse would be easier. From what I remember you can pull the fuse for all the door chimes so you won't have any at all.

really!? which fuse is it? it drives me nuts when i wanna open the doors for some music and that stupid chime goes off....pisses me off...

There used to be a fuse for them in the older F150's because we used to pull them all the time for people that didn't want them in there.

In the manual they tell you how to disable the seatbelt ding. I haven't been able to find the door one. I hate how I can't just sit there and put my leg in the door and listen to the radio without it dinging. If you guys find a way to get rid of it let me know.

tell us more about you lounging in the sun listening to music in the sun or in the shade ... im sure most the guys here would love to hear DETAILS!!

The fuse kills the interior lights with the bell I guess im going to have to try to locate it...

I would like to be able to wash and then wax my truck listening to music while I wax......I am one of those people where my windows don't go down for a full day after I wash my truck. It would be easier it I could leave the door open and jam and wax on wax off.
