My tailgate gets opened every morning. I put my water jug back there, and close it up. That was until 2 weeks ago, when I left it open and lost one of my toolboxes with 13 years of masonry hand tools in it. I wanted to puke.
Ever since then, I have wondered why there can't be a "tailgate down" light, for people with tonneaus. I know Ford wouldn't want to deal with putting something like this in, due to the elements....and there is enough electronic bull**** to go wrong already, but i wouldn't mind some ideas for something similar.
