First off I must say I had a heck of a time finding ANYTHING in my area that would fit. I was ready to do a major road trip to get a shell. Then all of the sudden this A.R.E. popped up 60 miles from home. And the guy only wanted $60 for it. Just bought his truck the day before and he hated shells.
It's got some bumps and bruises. But I'm happy for the price.
Of course I would rather have maroon. But that just aint happening right now. But for $60 I had to grab it.
I think it looks good enough to keep, unless a maroon one pops up. But my buddies are giving me a hard time saying it looks like crap. I don't really care what they say, I'm keeping it.
But I'm just wondering if maybe my taste is off. I think it looks good,,,lol. What do you guys think. HONESTLY. You won't hurt my feelings.... Much,,,lol.

Go hit up Maaco paint. For 350-500 bucks they can color match- well maybe nit totally - the truck colors might be off slightly. It will look great. I’ve done that in my last several trucks.

As far as painting it goes, as you can see the bed is rusted. I have another complete parts truck with a perfect bed. But it's more of a strawberry red, not as dark. So when I put that on if it looks really bad I'll have my buddy paint the bed and shell.... Maybe.... Who am I kidding. It will never happen,,,lol.
The more I look at it I think I like the black. I just grabbed those wheels at the local yard and the po was kind enough to paint the black accents on them. I think that looks good. Ties it all in. Heck. I might put the black nerf bars that's on the parts truck on there.
The parts truck also has a cheap brush guard on it. I had no plans of using it. But that might look good on there now with the rack on top of the shell. More black,,,lol.
Does this camper shell look ok.
