do you think they will put the new 5.8 liter in the F-150?

I know it has not been talked about (at least that i seen) but since ford took the 5.4L and bored it out to a 5.8L for the 2013 shelby cobra mustang do any of u guys think ford will use this engine at some point for there f-150's i meen ford brought back the 5.0L and it found its way to the f-150.i think i would be kinda cool a new modular version of the 351

Boring would give it more power in the upper RPM.
Stroking would give it more low end.
Don't think they'll put it in a truck.

There is no legal limet for power there is a limet to what the truck can do with it you only have so much traction the drive train parts can only handle so much torque and the govener will only let it go so fast. I realise that each of these can be dissabled or beefed up but it is a truck not a race car and each of the current engines will move the truck within the design limets. for Ford or any manufacture to design and build a whole new drive train and suspension for such a small market would not be profitable. then you add to the mix the epa national trafic safety board cafe standards and a host of other govenment regs I would not look for it any time soon. Anyway thats what the after market is for.
