Default Disc brake conversion

I'm looking to convert a 1989 ford f-150 rear axle to disc brakes. I have heard the Expedition and Explorer are compatible with it, just don't know the year or witch one works or if they both do. Just wondering if any of guys and gals would know. Thanks in Advance.

You might have better luck in the 87-96 sub-forum. It seems pretty active.

But there's no point. It's vastly cheaper and EXACTLY as-effective to simply maintain the drum brakes. Axe me how I know...
