I went in to order my new f150; XLT with XTR pacage because I love the chrome, two tone paint, red on top, silver on bottom. It was going to be beautiful! 5.4 with the sport captains seats with the console and the floor shift and put the sun roof in to top it off. I was very dissapointed to find out that I could not have it. I have a 94 with 300,000 on it and still runs great but 15 years of salt and snow has taken it's toll. It's time for a new one and now i'm leaning towards a tundra. Any one know a f150 plant employee who could put the seats and console in a XLT? if so I'd buy one tommorow. Sincerely, Derrick.

 

the Tundra isn't going to make you happy - don't make that mistake. Order your truck and I'm sure there's so many people out there that can switch the seats for you if that's what you really want. You're making a much bigger compromise if you settle with a Tundra though

 

Why couldn't you order the package you wanted? Was it a seat/cab configuration issue? What if you bumped up to an FX4 or Lariat package?

 

I would say that the configuration is not going to happen with a console shift on an XLT. I think that is reserved for the Lariats, FX's, and the KR. I would order up an FX or a Lariat then to get what you want. Those features are easily added to those models.
