Default Different chimes

Has anyone noticed that sometimes your truck makes a different door chime, or warning chime? Or sometimes the back up sensors make a different beeping? My 18 did this on and off, toggling between different tones of chimes and beeps, now my 21 does it too. Didn't know if it was just me or if the different tones meant something?

what usually happens is sometimes if the APIM doesn't wake up to sent the chimes through the radio speakers the truck then sends the signal to the IPC to sound them, hence the different tone

To add to djfllmn's comment, this also happens if the truck is in Battery Save mode. Instead of the chimes going through the speakers, because the APIM is shut down to save battery power, the chimes go through the instrument cluster.
